Nomieye presents a live, meditative ambient jazz set celebrating her debut EP Tapestry of an Echo with support from And Is Phi.
Celebrating the release of her new EP, trombonist and modular synthesist Nomieye brings her meditative and earthly ambient jazz sounds to Helm.
'Tapestry of an Echo' is the debut EP by Nomieye - the modular-synthesizer alias of London-based jazz-adjacent and improvising trombonist Rosie Turton. An ode to the memory and history embodied in mountains and nature, and our relationship to the more-than-human-world: 'Tapestry of an Echo' explores our collective memories of nature and place, in parallel to the memories these spaces hold as custodians to the passage of time.
For this performance Nomieye will be performing a special live interpretation of these five-tracks, and will be featuring And Is Phi.
