monoslug.

monoslug. combine catchy post-punk with modern production, danceable rhythms withintense chaos, driving bass riffs with distorted guitars that oscillate between concretenessand glitchiness. “Time and again, monoslug. leave their listeners with a palpable tensionborn of unpredictable music,” writes Untoldency – and live, this very tension is released in aset that is cathartic, defiant and yet made for dancing. For fans of Fontaines D.C., Wet Legand Sleater-Kinney.On their debut album “Stunt Show” (2027), the band thrives on contrasts: sharp guitarsdrenched in reverb and delay meet warm synths, whilst analogue clarity tips over into digitalchaos. Between the album’s most aggressive moment, which collapses into a church choir-like chorus, and a delicate, melancholic song about loneliness, lies the full spectrum – playful, bold and in constant motion. At their core, the lyrics are rooted in theatre: fragments of everyday life become short scenesthat veer into the grotesque. Identity here is not something fixed, but something that is triedon – the roles attributed to women are quoted, exaggerated and worn slightly askew untiltheir seams become visible – all that whilst keeping the spirit of riot grrrl in mind.
