Lightnin' Malcolm

Malcolm carries in him the North Mississippi Hill Country blues, sounds he absorbed not as a scholar but as a seeker, by osmosis, through his proximity to greats like R.L. Burnside, T-Model Ford, and Robert Belfour.

A seminal event in his life: Keeping watch over the aged and ailing Burnside, during his last days. This imbued in Malcolm a mission statement: The Hill Country sounds would be carried on. And carry them on, he does.
