Let's Learn
Weekly in-person facilitated philosophy discussion group for collaborative, respectful exploration of big and everyday topics.
IN-PERSON EVENT in Downtown Phoenix. Let's Learn is a weekly, in-person collaborative philosophy group that discusses a pre-planned topic as a team. Our goal is to learn about each other, ourselves, and how we construct our worldviews. No topic is off-limit, but our host Mike does bring his 15+ plus years of teaching experience to the group, acting as a moderator, to ensure that all attendees feel respected and safe as we discuss the issue of the day. Here's a list of some of the topics we've discussed in our weekly 90-minute sessions: Privacy, advice, courtesy, childhood goals, marriage/divorce, conflict, and isolation.
Truth, mistakes, public speaking, revenge, mortality, humor, success and failure.
Anger, murder, coincidences, self-identity, addiction, compulsion and habits.
Opinions, memory, sacredness, self-esteem, the social contract, and animism.
We even split the hair between presumptions & assumptions (They're different!)
But the topic doesn't matter. We could discuss dog-poop and our ridiculously amicable clan would still run out of time, with people dying to share more opinions. This is NOT a debate club: We have fun and never argue! For more information & testimonials please visit mikeyoppacademy.com Questions? Email the host, Mike, at [email protected]
