Knitting - Cables

• Class Duration : 2 hours

• Age Requirements : 13-Adult, 11-12 with accompanying adult

• Recommended Prerequisite : knit Levels 1-4

• Required Skills : Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.

• Materials Fee : None

• Out of District Fee : $10 (includes class and materials fees)

Required Materials : Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:

• Yarn: Size 4/medium weight yarn

• Needles: Size US 8 (5.0 mm)

• Cable needle

• Ring/round stitch markers

Level Description

Beginner Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.

Intermediate Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.

Advanced Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.
