JUST RIGHT
Avec Famous Lee, Mamabear
DJ residency with Mamabear and Famous Lee spinning soul, funk, boogie, disco and house on a HiFi sound system.
Sat. 10/3 ♨️ JUST RIGHT is a new residency featuring DJs Mamabear and Famous Lee, set in the inimitable confines of San Diego's Part Time Lover. Mamabear, hostess of The Honey Pot on DubLab radio and managing partner of Uncanned Music, is no stranger to Part Time Lover. She christened the decks during opening week, recording a handful of tapes for the Reel-to-Reel library. Neither is Famous Lee.
He has a tape with his name on it in the PTL Library, and over 30 years of DJing experience. He's the founder of the Original Live Convention Festival and Prime Time Records, and will be flying in from Toronto for the special occasion.
Combining coasts, decades of DJing and taste-making experience, and some seriously deep record collections, Mamabear and Famous Lee will dig into soul, funk, boogie, 2step, sweet soul, disco, house and everything in between, alongside local, national and international guests digging deep into their personal crates. All of it through Part Time Lover's perfectly balanced Klipschorn system, powered by voluptuous McIntosh tube amps, meticulously designed by Uncanned Music. Not too hot, not too cold... JUST RIGHT.
