September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month, an American Library Association (ALA) campaign started in 1987 to get a library card in the hands of every child. A library card is one of the most valuable tools available for education, personal growth, and community engagement. Our library story is not complete without readers, so this year, we ask you to "Join the Story".

Every new library card will be eligible to enter into a drawing for a special book lover prize. That means regular cards, Fee and Visitor cards, Reciprocal Borrowers, and 3 For Mes—all ages!

Current cardholders, don't worry, we heard you too! You are already part of our story, so why not bring a friend, family member, or neighbor to help write our next chapter? "Share the Love" this September with our referral program—bring a new library cardholder to the library, and once they sign up for their card, you can enter to win a special prize too!

Before you leave, don't forget to take your photo with our new library card signs to be added to "Our Community Story" board.
