JJ5K

Community Pentecostal Center invites you to the annual JJ5k Trail Run at Common Ground in Stanley, NC. The race supports a $2,000 scholarship in memory of Jerrica Jade Helderman (JJ), who passed away from breast cancer in 2016. The scholarship will go to a senior dance team member at East Gaston High School; friends and teammates have committed to continue this scholarship for 20 years to carry on Jerrica’s legacy of teamwork, love, hard work, and supporting each other.

Saturday September 26th 2026

5K walk/run kicks off at 9:00am. Packet pickup and race day registration 8:00–8:45am. The race begins promptly at 9:00am.

Run course begins and ends at Common Ground. This is a trail race primarily on grass and dirt trails. The run is beginner friendly and suitable for adults and children. The 5K run will be chip timed; the 5K walk and 1-mile Fun Run are untimed.

Awards: overall male and female 1st place for the 5K. Age divisions: 10 and under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65+. Free t-shirt included with registration (Youth S M L; Adult S M L XL XXL).
