Hillside Builders

Create houses, connect a village, conquer the slopes! Turn tricky terrain into a village full of possibilities!

BUILD A TOWN WHERE THE LAND IS NEVER FLAT! 🏞️

A house perched on a steep slope? A bridge between neighbours? Winding steps leading to a secret hideaway?

In this hands-on workshop, children become architects and town planners, designing houses that work with the hills, slopes and uneven ground beneath them.

They’ll build their own 3D hillside homes, then join forces to create a village with connecting paths, bridges and shared spaces. Where will everyone live, how will they get around—and can they make it all fit?

Imaginations run wild as children explore geography, architecture and the challenge of building a town together.

What they’ll do: Design for tricky terrain: Find creative ways to build on a slope. Build in 3D: Experiment with supports, stairs and platforms. Connect the community: Link homes with bridges, paths and gathering places. Think, test and rethink: Solve problems as their hillside village takes shape. No kits or identical outcomes - let creativity flow with materials, tools and big ideas for a village they create together.
