Hideous Panda
Avec Cut Flowers, Slak, sounds mint
Monthly indie label night with live alt.rock and post-punk sets from Sounds Mint, Cutflowers and SLAK at the Shacklewell Arms.
The esteemed indie label Goliaths Hideous Mink and fierce panda forge their usual monthly alliance for another night of rip-roaring alt.rockery, rather like this: SOUNDS MINT (onstage 9.30pm) have turned some DIY post-punk bedroom outcries into a full-on alt.grunge live beast which captures the absurdity and anxiety of Britain right now.
CUTFLOWERS (8.45) come from Brighton armed with a sound which veers from feeling intimate to being expansive in the same song, creating a stadium ambience on the smallest of stages along the way.
SLAK (onstage 8.00pm) come from Bristol and use the indie / post-punk / alt-rock template to create a powerfully atmospheric noise that is both raw and engaging. Three live kickings for free quid? We're in!
