The warmer days are here, and honestly, we couldn't be happier to be outside, on our bikes, exploring Joburg on two wheels Our rides are generally beginner-friendly, but cycling is still a physical activity, which means there will be a few climbs that ask you to dig a little deeper. On this route, we'll make our way through Westcliff, Parkmore and into Parkhurst, with a mix of climbs, easier stretches and plenty of moments to catch your breath.

And don't worry, we're not just cycling non-stop! We'll stop along the way for water breaks, photos, a little TikTok moment (because obviously lol), and to make sure everyone is keeping up. Our rides are usually between 10–20km, but we want you to focus less on the distance and more on enjoying the experience. We ride at the pace of the last girlie, so patience and encouragement are very much part of the ride.

One of the best things about Girls On Bikes is the community, so even if you arrive with your besties, we encourage you to make a few new ones along the way. Say hello, have a chat, ride alongside someone new; sisterhood is something we all contribute to. And because the ride doesn't have to end when we get off our bikes, we usually hang around 44 Stanley afterwards. So give yourself a little extra time to break bread, catch up, and maybe enjoy a mimosa or two.

We would also love for you to be comfortable riding a bike with the assigned bikePlease know your height, as our bikes are typically medium and if there is a need for a smaller bike, please visit the Cycle Boutique store at 44 Stanley to get a feel for the bikes. We unfortunately have a no-refund policy unless it is weather-related, so please be sure that when you book a bike, you will ride with us, as our rides are specific to the number of bikes we have available.

Riding a bike is a little uncomfortable, so if possible, you can bring along a seat cover for extra cushioning.
