Hat-Making Workshop
A two-hour hat-making workshop led by Clarence Brown Theatre milliner Melissa Caldwell-Weddig — leave with your own fascinator.
Join the McClung Museum for a fun, two-hour hat-making workshop led by Melissa Caldwell-Weddig, Costume Shop Supervisor at the Clarence Brown Theatre. Melissa has been at the Clarence Brown Theatre since 2008, teaches millinery in the UT Department of Theatre, and has created hats for Broadway productions including Wicked, Mamma Mia!, and Spamalot.
Held in conjunction with our new exhibition, Fashioning Ourselves: The Power of Clothing and Adornment, you'll be guided through the hat-making process and leave with a fabulous fascinator that is perfect for Halloween parties, festive get-togethers, and any day that deserves a little extra flair! Tickets: $30 for museum members* | $50 for non-members Note: 100% of all purchases include a tax-deductible gift to the McClung Museum Support Fund.
When you purchase a non-member ticket at $50, your registration activates an individual museum membership for the next year. As a member, you'll have access to exclusive programming, benefits, and reciprocal membership at museums across the U.S. For more information, visit our website. *If you are a museum member and did not receive a promo code via email, please contact Courtney Francis, Membership and Events Coordinator, at [email protected]. Please register by October 9, 2026.
