Folklore & Foliage
A free evening of dark art, oddities vendors, ghost-story readings and shadow puppetry at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden.
As darkness falls, the Miami Beach Botanical Garden will transform into a place for the curious and unconventional—a space where forgotten histories come to light, strange ideas take root, and the boundary between the natural and the otherworldly begins to blur.
Wander the Garden as lush foliage and shifting shadows take on a new character beneath the night's sky.
Peruse dark and gothic art, curiosities, and unexpected treasures from participating Oddities & Arts Festival vendors.
Listen to the esoteric lore of Old Florida. Presented by Books & Books, author Thomas Smith will share stories from and sign his new book, The Ghosts of the Florida Atlantic Coast.
Watch Miami's local artist Cristina Pettersson explore resurrection, mythology, and the sorcery of the night through a site-specific shadow puppet performance, as well as projected archival footage from Miami-Dade College's Wolfson Archives Collection featuring vintage Florida Halloween festivities and news stories about haunted South Florida locations.
Experience astrology and tarot readings with Aída The Energy Witch and take a moment to reflect on your own soul's journey.
Join us for this FREE evening where weird is welcomed—art is reimagined, stories are shared, and magic meets creativity.
