First Drafts
A curated evening of poetry, storytelling, spoken word and live music celebrating work in its honest, unfinished form.
First Drafts is a curated storytelling experience where artists, writers, poets, musicians, members of the public and thinkers share work in its most honest form. It is a space that celebrates vulnerability, creativity, and conversation by giving people permission to present ideas that are still becoming. Unlike traditional open mics, every edition is intentionally curated to create a cohesive experience that leaves audiences inspired, challenged, and connected.
The name First Drafts comes from the belief that:Every masterpiece started as a first draft. Every person is a work in progress. Stories do not have to be finished to be worth telling. It embraces imperfection as the birthplace of excellence. The ExperienceFirst Drafts isn't simply a sequence of performances. It is designed like a live narrative.
