Fibonacci Day

Join SoMa 501 for a free celebration of Fibonacci Day, the third and final event in our 2026 Math on Main series. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., enjoy free hands-on activities for the whole family, then stay for a free feast of spiral-shaped foods at 6 p.m., a nod to the Fibonacci patterns found all through nature, from pinecones to seashells to galaxies. The celebration also marks the unveiling of our new kinetic tile wall mural, a permanent, wind-activated piece inspired by the Fibonacci sequence. Made up of thousands of small, free-moving tiles, the mural ripples and shimmers as the wind moves through it, turning an invisible force into something you can watch and feel. The mural will be the third installation on our Math Path. Everything is free, but space is limited, so registration is required.
