Prakash Joseph and Tony Collis equip New Zealand believers in micro-church planting and open-air evangelism.
Shifting from a "Come" Structure to a "Go" Movement: How Prakash Joseph and Tony Collis are Activating the New Zealand Church
The advancement of God's Kingdom has never happened by accident. It requires willing hearts, strategic coordination, and a fundamental shift from a stationary "come to us" mindset to a dynamic, mobile "go to them" movement.
Across New Zealand, two Christian leaders—Prakash Joseph Tantarpale and Tony Collis—are intentionally teaming up to remodel the landscape of local evangelism and church planting.
By merging simple, scalable micro-church systems with hands-on open-air evangelism training, they are mobilising everyday believers to step out of sanctuary pews and directly onto local street corners.
Prakash Joseph: The Strategy of the Table and the Streets
For Prakash Joseph Tantarpale, bringing structural transformation to local communities begins with two physical objects: a dinner table and a portable public table.
Prakash is leading an Operation Mission to plant SENT Churches across New Zealand, with a vision to see simple, multiplying churches established in communities where there is little or no church presence.
His vision spans well beyond a single building. He is actively spearheading a grassroots missional network designed to multiply 10,000 TABLE Churches across New Zealand.
The strategy relies entirely on radical, decentralised simplicity:
The "TABLE" Concept
An intentional framework built on being Together, gathering Around/Asking questions, establishing Belonging/Bible discovery, Learning to live it out, and always keeping an Empty chair open for a seeker.
The Micro-Church Ecosystem
Operating directly from his home alongside his wife, Rachel, these simple house church gatherings bypass expensive overhead costs. A typical night consists of a shared potluck dinner, mutual accountability, and interactive discovery Bible studies designed to be easily replicated by anyone.
Public Prayer Tables
Taking the concept outdoors, Prakash coordinates team-led mobile tables in busy public spaces. These tables offer free, non-denominational prayer, conversation, and a listening ear directly to unchurched communities.
Regional Intercession
Prakash actively unites local bodies via movements like All2gether Waipā. Believers from various denominations gather on Saturday mornings at local hubs, like the Kihikihi Presbyterian Church, for intentional regional prayer walks targeting local streets, schools, and civic infrastructure.
