A new dystopian play exploring bodily autonomy and the human cost of progress through Clara's unsettling relationship.

“The true price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it.” - Henry David Thoreau

In an economy void of opportunity and overrun with AI, the only way for Clara to get ahead of the competition is to sell something it can’t; her human heart.

As her wounds slowly heal, she finds comfort in an unlikely friendship. Ben is gentle, devoted, and always nearby - his intentions seem to be in just the right place. But as his care becomes increasingly watchful, the boundaries between protection and possession begin to blur.

Eucharist is the biting debut play by Saskia Mollard and Tobias Abbott and the winner of the Best New Writing Award at the London Pub Theatre Standing Ovation Awards. A co-production between award-winning Springbok Production House and Talking Bird Productions, Eucharist is directed by Artistic Director Josh Maughan.

As science develops at an uncontrollable rate and morality seems to lag behind, Eucharist asks the question; what's the true price of living beyond survival and the human cost that it takes to get there?
