Energy Investment Competition, hosted by the Energy Club The winning team will receive a cash prize and a place in the grand finale at INSEAD, competing against the winning teams from other schools. The Energy Club is hosting a simulation that puts participants in the role of clean-energy project developers. Each team gets a project: solar in India, wind in the UK, green hydrogen in Dubai, carbon capture in Australia/Canada, energy storage in Asia, or data centers. Teams then compete for funding from a panel of energy investors and bankers. Teams and case materials will be shared a few days in advance. The competition itself takes place on a single day, over three rounds: Financial modelling and preparing a board-level investment presentation Consultations with investors and banks Final pitches and negotiating terms Participants will assess project risk, account for geopolitical factors and structure financing for their projects. Seats are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
