Mithila Mahotsav 2026 – Mithila Welcomes Mahashakti
Mithila Mahotsav 2026 is a three-day cultural and spiritual celebration dedicated to Mithila, Maithili, and the global Maithil community. Organized by the Mithila Cultural Society Australia (MCSA), the festival will be held from 17–19 October 2026 at Quakers Hill Community Hall, Sydney.
This year marks a historic occasion as we welcome Maa Bhagavati through three sacred days of Matrika Puja, bringing together devotion, culture, and community in a unique celebration of Mithila's timeless heritage.
The festival will feature Maha Saptami, Maha Ashtami and Maha Navami Puja, traditional bhog, cultural performances, music, dance, drama, poetry, folk traditions, Madhubani art, family activities, and community engagement.
Inspired by the sacred land of King Janaka and Goddess Sita, Mithila Mahotsav serves as a platform to preserve our language, culture, and values while strengthening connections among Maithils across Australia.
