Ducktober
Library duck-decorating project with in-person workshop or pick-up kit, public display and voting throughout October
REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
If you choose workshop: Come in, grab a duck, and get decorating! We will have an assortment of materials for participants to transform their ducks.
OR, option 2: If you choose pick up: Come in and grab a duck from the circulation desk between October 1st to October 9th. Decorate your duck at home and be sure to bring it back by October 13th! Please let us know if you would like to decline the contest and just display your amazing duck masterpiece!
DUCKTOBER: We will display final duck designs here at the library from October 13th till the 31st.
Library visitors will be able to vote on their favorite ducks from October 19th to 31st!
(Option available to display your duck without entering contest — just let us know.)
Winners will be announced on October 31st and ducks can then go home with their creators. Winners will receive a fabulous award certificate to hang on their fridge or wall.
Ducks should be picked up by November 6th or they will be sent back to the farm!
