Overview:

This session is designed to build confidence in introducing coding in the classroom. Participants will explore J2Code and develop an understanding of how it can be used to support early programming skills and computational thinking.

Participants will take part in practical activities to explore simple coding concepts and create basic programs that can be used to support learning in the classroom.

Target Audience:

This session is primarily designed for PS2 and PS3 practitioners who are new to coding on Hwb or who have limited experience using J2E coding tools in practice.

Session Aims:

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: Understand that coding is giving simple step-by-step instructions to a computer Use J2Code to create a short sequence of instructions (a basic program) Run and edit a simple program and see how changes affect the outcome
