Decolonisation Creative Writing Workshop

Join award-winning writer Jacqueline Crooks, author of Fire Rush, for a series of FREE creative writing workshops for residents of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

Welcoming, participatory workshop where you will explore culture, heritage, migration, memory and place through creative writing, drawing on your life and local histories inspired by Kingston and its rich heritage assets.

These creative writing workshops will enable residents to engage with Kingston's museum, archive and heritage collections, explore hidden, under-represented and overlooked stories, and encourage writing rooted in lived experience, community memory, and imagination.

No previous writing experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to explore stories together.
