David Fore

David Fore fronts the band David Fore & Friends (DF&F). DF&F music combines Americana and rock, and their original lyrics are intelligent, quirky, and often self-deprecating.

David began playing music when he was 13. He dropped out of high school after his junior year to become the drummer for the storied psychedelic rock band Bubble Puppy; its song “Hot Smoke and Sassafras” was a nationwide hit that reached #14 on the Billboard chart.

In the 1980s David founded D-Day, a New Wave band, and co-wrote the teen anthem “Too Young to Date,” which was a #1 hit in Los Angeles on KROQ. In the 1990s he joined Austin’s popular Beatles tribute band The EggMen, which won the Austin Chronicle’s “Best Cover Band” award eleven times. After leaving The EggMen, David gave up drumming for guitar and established David Fore & Friends.
