Daniel Pickard

Dreamhouse Records is proud to present its first curated night at ALTAR - featuring two gifted emerging local talents. Coventry-raised, London-based singer, songwriter, and musician Daniel Pickard — formerly of art-pop band Half Loon — picked up the guitar at 16, but it wasn’t until he moved to London for university that he started writing: pen to paper, chords to songs. And then he started playing, first at an open mic night, then in venues across London and abroad. His forthcoming debut album 'Behaviour' is released independently on October 23 via AWAL. Drawing upon the record's themes of made-up stories, astute observations, and exacting slights in the makeup of polite British society — all wrapped up in a sleek, danceable French Touch beat — his new single 'Nominee' muses on decadence, pleasure, and power as a young man comes of age. Supporting is the excellent new act Lister Rider Home.
