Immersive planetarium performance merging live dance, volumetric capture and projected virtual landscapes.

IndieFest 2026 invites you to the Vancouver premiere of CLOUD BODIES, created by Allison Moore. Playing with scale and perspective, CLOUD BODIES is an immersive performance that explores the body as landscape and investigates its relationship with virtual spaces. As bodies and landscapes waltz, the topography of bodies morphs with the topography of the natural world.

Presented in the H.R MacMillan Space Centre Star Theatre Dome, Allison Moore's CLOUD BODIES is a generative immersive experience in the Planetarium combining dance and technology. Using live volumetric capture, Lucy Fandel's choreography is tracked by sensors during the live performance by dancer Erika Mitsuhashi.

The geometric metadata collected is processed and reconstructed in the virtual environment projected on the dome where Mitsuhashi's body and movements merge with digital landscapes. The elements are imaged in point clouds, a system of data representation organized in three-dimensional spaces. The show will start promptly at 2:00 PM. The runtime is 35 minutes. November 15 | One performance | 2:00 PMH.R.

MacMillan Space Centre, Star Theatre 1100 Chestnut St, Vancouver, BC V6J 3J9Tickets: Sliding scale, $9.99 - $19.99. Free tickets available to Indigenous, Métis, and Inuit peoples. Presented in partnership between re:Naissance Immersive, the H.R MacMillan Space Centre, and MOVE37XR. We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts. CLOUD BODIES was supported by the Society for Arts and Technology's (SAT) Work Creation Program.
