Community car boot sale and market at Clitheroe Auction Mart with trader pitches and public stalls
Clitheroe Car Boot is held at Clitheroe Auction Mart on Lincoln Way in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire (BB7 1QD), just off the A59. This long-running North West car boot ran every Sunday, all year round, with a huge 300 indoor and 300 outdoor pitches so sellers always had space. Gates opened early: sellers arrived from 5:00 AM and buyers from 6:00 AM. Buyer entry was £1 for adults with kids under 12 free.
Seller pitches outside were Cars £12, Small Vans £16, Large Vans £20 and Trailers £3; indoor pens cost £6 each or 4 for £20. With around 150 stalls across covered and open-air areas, shoppers could browse whatever the weather. Dogs were allowed and on-site parking was available, making it an easy family morning out in the Ribble Valley.
Important 2024 update: the owners have announced that Clitheroe Car Boot has sadly closed, as the event was no longer financially viable to keep running. Last confirmed open: 8 June 2026.
