Avec Chida
An intimate club session with Tokyo vinyl selector CHIDA and Macau's RyomA blending cosmic disco, electro and hypnotic techno.
Ping Pong 129 hosts an intimate electronic music session featuring two pioneering figures of the Asian electronic music circuit: CHIDA and RyomA. CHIDA (Ene/JP) Active in Tokyo's electronic music scene since 1992, CHIDA is a vinyl archivist and selector recognized for his open-to-close sets that blend cosmic disco, dark electro, and psychedelic house.
He is the founder of the Ene imprint and maintains an extensive international performance profile at vanguard venues including Berghain | Panorama Bar (Berlin), Lux Fragil (Lisbon), and 宀 (MÌNH, Hong Kong), alongside domestic residencies at Mitsuki (Shibuya) and Numm (Aoyama). He hosts a monthly broadcast program on Tbilisi-based Mutant Radio and maintains a digital archive of over 100 curatorial mixes on SoundCloud.
RyomA (BE-ATS/RomanTechno/JP-MO) A contemporary selector who began his musical trajectory in mid-1990s Tokyo before establishing his presence in Macau, RyomA operates as the primary organizer behind the BE-ATS collective. A contributor to the Leftfield Series at Ping Pong 129 and the immersive #liftoff showcases, his sets focus on leftfield electronic genres, transitioning fluidly between ambient soundscapes, deep hypnotic techno, and halftime rhythms.
His performance style prioritizes deep, intricate, and deeply atmospheric dancefloor arrangements. Together, they present a cross-regional dialogue showcasing deep curation and progressive club sounds.
