BLACK COFFEE TABLE is an in-person cultural gathering for friends and family.
Books create space for connection, discovery, and cultural exchange. Monday Coffee’s collaborative bookstore experience brings these ideas to life through a thoughtfully curated collection and activation series centered on Black art, architecture, design, and literature . More than a retail experience, the bookstore is a cultural gathering place where readers, artists, designers, writers, and community members can engage with work reflecting the rich history and diversity of Black creative expression.
Collaboration and discovery The series is designed to encourage dialogue, exploration, and meaningful connection. Project collaborators include Burst Into Books , the Morrison Code Literary Society , JellyBloom Studios , and Black Film Club Chicago , each bringing unique perspectives and expertise to the programming and overall experience. Together, these partnerships celebrate Black creativity and invite visitors to discover new authors, artists, thinkers, and ideas.
At the intersection of books, design, community, and conversation, Monday Coffee transforms the traditional bookstore into a collective playscape for cultural rediscovery, creativity, and memory.
