Bird-Safe Window Workshop

Join us to learn about bird-safe windows and make your own retrofits to bring home!

Join Detroit Bird Alliance and Poletown Farms for a workshop where you can learn about and create projects to make your windows safe for birds! We will have supplies available to make Zen Wind Curtains (Acopian Bird Savers) with basic paracord or with string and beads for extra fun. We will also have Feather Friendly dots and window markers for attendees to take home.

Bird-window collisions are one of the top reasons for bird population declines. Unfortunately many of these window collisions happen at residential homes and buildings. If you have a problem window where you have noticed a collision, you can make this window bird-safe!

This event is outdoor, but we will have space heaters.

We are able to offer this program for free thanks to funding from the Gilbert Family Foundation.
