BEAT Ensemble — Junior Musical Play for Everyone!

A joyful, once-a-month class for kids ages 5–12. Every last Sunday of the month (Starting January 25).

Feel the beat, make some noise, and discover the joy of making music together! This upbeat, once-a-month program invites children with intellectual and developmental disabilities to explore music through rhythm, teamwork, and creativity in a supportive group setting.

Each themed session features a fun musical theme and hands-on play with boomwhackers, Orff instruments, and all kinds of percussion — so every young musician can shine, no experience needed!

What to expect: · Learn to keep the beat and to play as a team. · Build confidence through self-expression and sound exploration. · Connect with others in a fun, encouraging, and inclusive space. · Team up with your parent or support staff for shared musical moments. · Engage, along with your required support person, in a welcoming and inclusive community accessible to families who may otherwise lack music opportunities.

All abilities welcome! Come make some joyful noise — where every kid gets to be part of the band!

Program details: Class size is limited to 10 participants, each accompanied by their required parent or support staff. Please share any accommodation needs during registration — Sweetwater and the instructor will provide all reasonable accommodations, except one-on-one aid, which must be supplied by the participant’s own support person. Registration closes 48 hours before class begins.
