An introductory talk by experienced local beekeepers with practical tips and a Q&A, plus honey tasting.
Join Chris Mitchell and Silvana Nieto, from Lakeside Bees, to learn more about beekeeping and the importance of bees in our environment.
Silvana and Chris are passionate beekeepers with 12 years of experience and are actively involved in running the Bay of Plenty Beekeeper Group (club). Drawing on their extensive hands-on experience, they will share their knowledge of bees and beekeeping, offer practical insights into getting started, and provide guidance on pathways to becoming a successful beekeeper.
A Q&A section will follow the main presentation and there will also be the opportunity to sample honey from Kakahi Bees.
