42ºC (@yonjunido.tokyo) first ever event brings Tokyo’s underground music scene into one of Japanese culture’s most iconic spaces: the sento. For one night, Kiraku-yu Japanese bathhouse will become an unconventional music and art venue. We are opening up the changing rooms and transforming them into a shared dance floor, with DJs performing beside the hot baths. The baths and saunas will be operating and guests will be able to move between music, art, bathing, and sauna throughout the evening. Created in collaboration with Inspiration Quest (@inspo.quest.event) and Onsen Fes (@onsen_fes), 42ºC is an experiment in bringing together sento culture, underground music, and contemporary art to explore the sento as a space for music and creative inspiration. EVENT DETAILS: - Sento baths and saunas will be operational during the event and are included with entry ticket - Bring bathing suit and towel. Bathing suit is required to use the baths and saunas. - The sento changing rooms will be transformed into a dance floor and DJ space.
