Tech Help: Lafayette Library

Tackle your technology troubles! Schedule a 30-minute one-on-one appointment with a Tech Helper at the Lafayette Library. Feel free to bring your own device (tablet, phone, or laptop) or use a library PC. Please call the Lafayette Library or stop by the info desk to schedule an appointment. When you arrive for your first session, please check with staff at the desk to review and sign a Tech Help Agreement. Drop-ins welcome if spots are open.

Our Tech Helpers can help with:

• General computer, phone, and device questions • Basic web searching • E-books & e-readers • Printing and copying • Saving and attaching files • Navigating the Contra Costa County Library website • Libby, Kanopy, Flipster, and other digital library resources • Microsoft Office and Google Suite • Emailing

Important - Please note that Tech Helpers cannot:

• Repair devices • Install hardware or major software/program updates on devices • Provide word processing services (ex: typing letters, preparing/formatting documents) • Provide private lessons or accept payment of any kind • Recommend products for purchase • Provide online shopping services or place online ads • Serve as personal research assistants
