AM sin, bbecks, Kinga Janicka, Simon Mós
Factory Setting is back at the M.O.T with live modular performances from AM sin, bbecks and a back-to-back live session from Kinga Janicka and Simon Mós, plus EMOM Open Mic Sets featuring established and new artists from the community. *Anouncing* AM sin to the line up. London-based Portuguese audiovisual duo formed by Maria and Nian, working across modular synthesis, layered vocal composition, light, image and live performance.
Their current exploration pushes towards a heavier, more abrasive sound, driven by industrial textures, glitching electronics and distorted vocals. Operatic melodies sit against layers of noise as Maria's voice shifts between sustained singing, fragmented vocal lines and raw screams, set against the tightly wound, shifting structures of Nian's modular system. The result is a more visceral, noise-heavy expression of AM sin's interplay between voice and electronics.
We're excited to welcome Bbecks for her first live modular synth set. Usually behind the decks, she'll be exploring a different side of her music through modular synth experimentation. Long time Factory Setting performer Kinga Janicka and Simon Mós will also be joining forces for a live back-to-back set, bringing their own approaches to live electronics into a shared performance. the-open mic is open to anyone who wants to share a short 15-minute set.
If you're planning to play, just give us a heads up. Watch this space for a special guest announcement coming soon!
