Ibsen Award Winner and Pulitzer Prize finalist Taylor Mac is back at Soho after 15 years taking on the holidays to celebrate the season in all of its dysfunction.
Bedazzling, moving and politically stirring, Holiday Sauce is a delightfully irreverent work exploring Christmas as calamity.
There is more to the holidays than rampant gift giving – in Taylor’s world, creativity and imagination are their own spirituality. Taylor Mac reminds us of the collective power of our chosen families, a message that rings true in spite of capitalism’s attempt to hijack the holidays.
Taylor Mac is joined by longtime collaborators, designer Machine Dazzle, Music Director Matt Ray and a spectacular band to reframe the songs you love and the holidays you hate.
