Summer Long Dance 2027
With Susannah Darling Khan, Tanmaya Daniel
A 72-hour residential Movement Medicine ceremonial Long Dance in Devon guided by YaβAcov and Susannah Darling Khan
Invitation
The Summer Long Dance is the School's flagship event, a 72 hour ceremonial journey to honour life and meet the reality of being human. It offers space to encounter both joy and grief, and everything in between. Together, participants arrive, prepare, cross into the experience, and are given time to integrate what emerges.
For those drawn to genuine embodied ceremony, this is an opening into a practice that is both ancient and alive, shaped for our time and free from fixed beliefs. The Long Dance is a chance to engage directly with the deeper intelligence that moves through all life. Through rhythm and movement, it supports a return to clarity, resilience, and a felt sense of being fully alive. It takes place in Hillyfield, a valley in Devon dedicated to regeneration and learning.
The gathering also raises funds for FundaciΓ³n Pachamamaβs Sacred Headwaters Project, supporting indigenous communities in protecting the Amazon rainforest, as well as many other amazing projects.
Guided by YaβAcov and Susannah Darling Khan, the space is held with care, depth, and decades of experience. Their approach encourages each person to discover their own authentic expression and connection through movement. The work is grounded in Movement Medicine and its teachings.
It is a chance to remember that personal wellbeing is inseparable from the wellbeing of the Earth, and to move in recognition of that relationship. During the ceremony, simple fasting food is offered twice daily for those who need it.
βIβve taken part in thousands of ceremonies over the yearsβMoon Dances, Sun Dances, Spirit Dancesβso many profound journeys. And still, I can honestly say the Long Dance is something rare and exceptional. A true masterpiece. So thoughtfully held, layered, and inclusiveβoffering depth and transformation to both those new to the ceremonial path and those who have been walking it for lifetimes. Thatβs a rare gift.β
