Free public session to view the Sun safely through filtered telescopes with astronomy PhD students
Join us to observe the Sun safely using telescopes fitted with certified solar filters. On a clear day, participants will explore sunspots, prominences, and other solar features in real time.
A short presentation on the Sun will be given at the beginning. This program will be run by two PhD students studying astronomy at the University of Toronto. They'll be happy to answer your 'burning' questions about the sun and space.
For all ages! Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.
Drop in, no registration required.
