An in-person science-fair style evening showcasing small personal software projects with demos, voting, and pizza

A science fair for personal software

Ever built a little app just for yourself? A tracker for your kid’s soccer schedule. Something that sorts your inbox the way your brain actually works. A scoreboard for your fantasy league. The kind of thing nobody else needs, but you use every day.

Software for One is a science fair for exactly that: small, personal software built to solve one person’s real problem. No startup pitches. No SaaS launches. No need to convince anyone that your app has a giant market.

Your app can be polished, unfinished, or held together by hope. It just needs to matter to someone, even if that someone is you.

Presenters will set up stations around the room. Walk around, try what they built, ask questions, and hear the story behind each project. Everyone gets three wooden voting chips. At the end of the night, we’ll give out three awards: Crowd Favorite, Most Delightfully Specific, I Want This Too.

We’ll have pizza, snacks, and drinks. Bring something you made and show it off. Or just come see what other people built.

Want to present? Answer the follow-up questions when you register. We’ll email selected presenters before the event.

What about trying…

Things we don't show you yet, but that are buzzing near you.
