Wombat Training

There are many ways you can become involved in caring for wombats. This training will explain wombat development, anatomy and physiology, husbandry, release, managing illness and injury, Work Health and safety and where all of this fits into ACT Wildlife's licence and the Code of Practice.

At the end of this course you may like to become a carer, help with finding release sites, support long term carers with respite for their wombats or become involved with treating mange in the wild wombat population.

There will be the opportunity for hands on experience with safe handling of wombats and to see the types of equipment needed to rescue and care for wombats.
