FutureTech 2027
The move to IP is reshaping television. The decisions we make now will determine the future UK TV experience for all audiences.
With the Government's White Paper expected to set out its timeline decisions for the future of TV distribution ahead of January's event, and a BBC Charter White Paper also anticipated, FutureTech 2027 comes at a critical moment for the industry.
Whatever the timetable, this must be more than a technology transition. It must create a sustainable, inclusive foundation for UK television. Built not just for what is possible today, but with the agility and ambition to unlock innovations we cannot yet imagine.
Policy direction must become concrete investment plans, technical requirements and television services that work at national scale. The industry needs to understand what to prioritise, which dependencies could slow delivery and where a common approach will drive the results needed.
FutureTech 2027 puts those challenges, and the opportunities they create, at the centre of the conversation. Across infrastructure, operating models and viewer experience, it will examine what the transition demands, what IP makes possible and what needs to happen next.
DTG members can book their places free of charge, while non-member tickets are £199.
