Carolina Jason Jazz Duo

The Bluebird Acoustic Sessions. Carolina and Jason started playing together in Spring 2023, brought together by their shared love of music and passion for performing. As a jazz duo, Carolina and Jason focus on creating an intimate and engaging atmosphere, blending elements of traditional jazz, blues, and bossa nova with modern sensibilities.

Their repertoire includes a mix of classic jazz standards and contemporary arrangements that highlight their unique sound and improvisational skills. Carolina Marcelino (vocals) is a singer with a rich, soft, and soulful voice. Her music education ranges from classical piano at the conservatory to jazz. She has supplemented her music passion with vocal performance classes and workshops with renowned professionals in the Portuguese music and stage performance scene.

Carolina brings a modern twist to classic jazz standards and a selection of songs that showcase her versatile talent. Jason Kavanagh (guitar) is a skilled guitarist who has refined his skills through years of study and performance in various jazz ensembles. After completing his music studies at university in the UK, Jason spent several years in London playing with a variety of musicians and ensembles. He currently lives in Luxembourg, where he teaches guitar. His playing style demonstrates a deep understanding of jazz harmony and complements Carolina's vocals perfectly, resulting in a truly dynamic and engaging performance.
