One of the UK's biggest free festivals, Bristol Harbour Festival turns the city's historic floating harbour into a three-day waterfront party of music, boats and street spectacle. Live bands across stages at the Amphitheatre, Queen Square and Millennium Square, circus and dance in the streets, on-the-water shows, family workshops, food stalls and flotillas of vessels along the quaysides. It's joyfully chaotic and very Bristol — sunny harbourside crowds and music everywhere. Free entry and it gets packed, so arrive early for the main-stage sets and travel in by foot, bike or public transport.
