Two-room techno night in Austin with Clarisa Kimskii headlining the main room and ambient sets in the side room
Nerve Damage returns July 24 with another 2 room journey to the center of the earth.
Nerve Damage [Main Room]: We’re extremely excited to host the Austin debut of Clarisa Kimskii, 20+ year underground techno veteran, resident of NYC's Merge and a regular at Berghain, BASEMENT, Tresor, and Nowadays. Opening the night, boundary-pushing broken beat by local producer/DJ Ceslin, followed by the rare techno set by NYC-based resident Nelbus. A bombastic live set by local favorite Sewa Choki takes us into Clarisa’s 2.5 hr set, followed by Portland-based Quang.oi, the mind behind the Dallas party Terminal and DIY TX camping festival Midnight in Nowhere.
Nerve Repair [Ambient Room]: Our tranquil side room will be opened up by Chicago head and runner of Structural party series DJ Responsible, followed by Corbin Cary, owner and buyer of Austin’s best electronic record store Quiet Control. Local hero Vonne takes us into the later hours, delicately weaving African traditional music into house, ambient and breakbeat. A/V artist Utensil closes out the night spinning deep techno, drone and ambient discovered during his recent time living in Tokyo.
