
Level One Improv: Introduction to Improvisation
Seven-week intro improv class for adults culminating in a supportive student showcase
Ready to play, laugh, and surprise yourself? Intro to Improv is the perfect starting place for anyone curious about improv comedy—whether you’re looking to get on stage, boost your confidence, or just have a blast trying something new.
In this seven-week class, you’ll learn the basics of improv by saying “yes,” jumping in, and discovering what happens next. Together, you and your classmates will create characters, scenes, and stories as an ensemble. The class wraps up with a fun, supportive student showcase where you’ll share what you’ve learned with family and friends. No experience necessary!
In this course, you’ll explore: Meeting new people & playing like a kid again Spontaneity and going with your gut Building stories as a group Agreement & “yes, and…” Listening and responding in the moment Creating environments on stage Developing characters Short-form improv games
Sundays, 1-3:30PM — Seven weeks, starting July 5 Instructor: Whitney Peters All students must be 18+ and follow the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. All sales are final.
