GED Testing - Southeast Library
Schedule a GED test (by prior registration on GED.com) at Central or Louise Watley Library; testing days Tue–Thu 10:30–16:30, alternating weekly.
Registration on GED.com is required in order to test. Registration must be done in advance; no same-day registration is available.
Test takers must bring their non-expired government-issued photo ID to the test center in order to test.
If you need accommodations, they must be requested before your exam on the GED website.
The GED is offered at the Central Library and the Louise Watley Library at Southeast Atlanta. Testing occurs every other week at each location, alternating between libraries. Tests can be scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 10:30 and 16:30. Saturday testing is done once a month, exclusively at Central.
Atlanta Public Schools (APS) offer free GED preparation classes. Classes are held at various locations throughout Atlanta every week. Students must register before attending classes. To register for classes call (404) 802-3560 or go to APS GED Prep Classes. Other classes and test prep programs can be found in the TCSG Adult Education Program Directory.
The Central Library does not have access to free parking. We recommend taking MARTA to Peachtree Center Station or parking in one of the paid lots near the Library.
