GarageBand for Beginners
Hands-on beginner class to learn GarageBand basics and practice recording in the library studio (ages 13+).
GarageBand is a fully equipped music creation software with a complete sound library that includes instruments, presets for guitar and voice, and a selection of session drummers and percussionists. With an intuitive, modern design, it’s easy to learn, play, record, create, and share.
GarageBand has many helpful recording and editing features that make it both powerful and easy to use. In this class you will learn GarageBand basics and a few expert tips to help you record in our studios. You will learn how to edit your performances down to the note and decibel.
At the end of the class you'll head into the studio to practice what you learned. After this class you will be able to book one of EPL's studios to start recording your own music.
• Recommended: participants should be comfortable typing, using a mouse, and navigating macOS files and folders. • Age: 13 and up.
