Community volunteer cleanup to clean, sweep and garden the Detroit Steps in Sunnyside, organized by Detroit Steps Project and partners
Let's make Sunnyside shine together! Join the Detroit Steps Project, Refuse Refuse, SF Public Works, and the community for a friendly neighborhood cleanup!
Volunteers will meet at the lower Detroit Steps (Detroit St & Hearst Ave) to grab supplies, meet your project leader and split into crews. Cleaning, sweeping, and gardening will occur from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the steps and surrounding neighborhood.
The Detroit Steps Project is a multi-year multi-phased community-led project to beautify with landscape and tiling the Detroit Steps, a 185-step stairway in Sunnyside. Visit detroitsteps.org to learn more.
