Creative Reuse with LEAF: Origami for Beginners Using Newspaper

Join us at Fremont Main Library for a Creative Reuse Workshop with LEAF!

LEAF is a local educational nonprofit empowering people to learn, connect, and grow food together.

Give old news a new shape with origami!

In this workshop we will be making origami with old newspaper. Origami is the art of transforming flat square sheets of paper into two-dimensional or three-dimensional forms through folding. Supplies for this workshop will be provided.

This workshop is designed for children ages 8 and up.

Seats are limited. Tickets are free and will be distributed at the Children's Information desk 15 minutes before the program.

Why reuse?

Through Creative Reuse we save material that would have been discarded and gone to waste. Instead, we give it new life and put it to good use to create something new!

Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests!
