SEGO (22h30) (Art post punk – Los Angeles, US)

« De l’art-punk par des artistes qui ne sont ni punk ni artistes » : originaire de l’Utah et basé à Los Angeles, Sego a d’abord attiré l’attention des faiseurs de tendance de LA grâce à son penchant pour des rythmes avant-gardistes accompagnés de refrains indie-pop accrocheurs. Depuis leurs débuts, la production prolifique et les concerts expérimentaux de Sego leur ont valu toutes les distinctions dont rêvent les groupes indie modernes : les éloges de la critique sur NPR, des tournées européennes, des participations aux festivals de Bonnaroo et d’Austin City Limits, ainsi qu’une publicité nationale (Xfinity) diffusée pendant les Jeux olympiques et le Super Bowl.

Vivants et enregistrant ensemble dans leur entrepôt du centre-ville de Los Angeles, Sego a vu sa musique et ses performances intégrées à des campagnes nationales et s’est produit dans de grands festivals tels que Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Treefort et SXSW. Le groupe a tourné internationalement et partagé la scène avec Warpaint, OK Go, iDKHOW, Vacationer, Magic City Hippies et Rubblebucket. Leur travail a été couvert par NPR, Paste, Rolling Stone Mexico, BMI et Consequence of Sound.

ALIEN CHICKS (21h30) (Jazz punk – Alcopop – Brixton, UK)

Alien Chicks are a Brixton band who explore a whole mix of genres including punk, jazz, rap, latin, and math rock. They have quickly built a grassroots following and reputation for their addictively energetic live show, and have supported acts such as The Libertines, English Teacher, Lambrini Girls, Warmduscher, Sprints and Big Special. They have had radio play on Radio 6 and Radio 1 and press support from NME, DIY, Clash and DORK. 2026 looks set to be a big year with festival appearances and tours in the UK, Europe and the US, plus a new EP with Alcopop.
