The Twelfth 2026 — Belfast
Northern Ireland's biggest parade day
O wydarzeniu
The Twelfth is the biggest day in the Protestant and unionist calendar in Northern Ireland — a huge Orange Order parade of marching lodges and accordion, flute and pipe bands, banners and bowler hats commemorating the 1690 Battle of the Boyne. Belfast's is the largest of all: thousands of marchers wind roughly 12 miles from the city centre to 'the field' at Barnett Demesne, where there are speeches, food stalls and a fairground atmosphere before everyone walks back. Because 12 July falls on a Sunday in 2026, the main parades are on Monday 13 July. Free to watch from the pavement.
